Frequently asked Questions

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is like adding an extra lock to your door to make it harder for intruders to get in. Previously, when you signed in to the Jobs Portal, you used a password, which is like the key to a lock. However, if someone else gets your key (password), they can enter easily. With 2FA, after you enter your password, you are also asked for another piece of information—in this case, a code sent to your email. This second step ensures that even if someone has your password, they can’t access your account unless they also have this second piece of information. This extra step will significantly enhance the security of the Job Portal and comply with industry regulatory standards.

If you have a Job Portal Counsellor or SPO Manager account, 2FA will be enabled for you automatically.

The verification code is set to expire 5 minutes after being issued. If you are unable to enter the code within this timeframe, you can request a new one using the “Resend Code” feature.

Please note that the verification code expiry time limit is configurable by service provider.

If it’s been more than a minute and you have not received an email with the verification code, try the following steps:

  • Check your Spam or Junk Email folder. Sometimes, emails from new senders or automated systems are mistakenly filtered into the spam or junk folder.
  • Wait a few minutes. Sometimes, there can be a delay in the delivery of email messages due to high traffic or server issues.
  • Resend the code. If the email doesn’t arrive after a few minutes, try the Resend Code option to issue a new verification email.
  • Check Email Filters and Sorting Rules. If you have set up filters or rules to automatically sort incoming emails, the 2FA code email might be getting redirected to an unexpected folder.
  • Add do-not-reply@wedatatools.com to your Address Book or Email Contacts. This can help ensure that emails are not marked as spam in the future.
  • Check for Email Service Issues. Sometimes, the problem may lie with your email service provider.
  • Report the issue to your Manager. If the issue persists, report the issue to your Manager. They can take steps to verify if the issue is affecting other staff members and escalate the problem with our support team.
