WE Data Tools 4.13 Release Updates

This release introduces several meaningful enhancements across the platform, with a focus on expanding Job & Training Events capabilities, improving data access for reporting, and streamlining key workflows for service providers. This release also includes Client Profile enhancements for Employment Service Providers and Resume Builder updates to support jobseekers and staff using these tools.

Employment Service Providers

NEW! Common Assessment Data Extract

Simplifies access to Common Assessment data for external reporting and analysis tools.

  • Common Assessment Export: Added a new CSV export for Common Assessment data with one client per row and assessment responses in columns.

Staff Assignments

Introduced a more flexible workflow for managing staff assignments on a client case.

  • Manage Staff Assignments: Replaced separate assign and remove actions with a unified workflow for managing client staff assignments.
  • Flexible Updates: Added more granular control over staff assignment changes, allowing specific staff to be added, replaced, or removed while leaving other assignments unchanged.
  • Task Continuity: Added prompts to ensure related tasks are properly reassigned when making changes.
  • Error Prevention: Introduced inline warnings to help prevent unintended changes during staff updates.

Client Profile — EAP Enhancements

Improved sub-goal navigation and streamlined access to ERFS amounts.

  • ERFS Summary & Breakdown: Added a rolled-up ERFS total with an expandable view showing all related expenses in one place.
  • Sub-Goal Display: Updated sub-goals to open on dedicated detail pages instead of in a side panel.

People Updates

  • CaMS Client Reference Search: Added support for searching People records by CaMS Client Reference number.
  • Last Case Note Date: Added a sortable “Last Case Note Date” column to help identify recent client activity.
  • Column Update: Renamed “Last Activity” to “Last Client Activity” to improve clarity.

Transfer Workflow Improvement

Improved overall flow to reduce confusion and better align actions with user intent.

  • Email Notification: Replaced “Approve” and “Decline” email actions with a single “Review Transfer Request” button.
  • Review Flow: Users are now directed to review transfer details in the portal before making a decision.

Client Service Map Report

  • Heatmap Compatibility: Updated the Client Service Map Report to maintain support for heatmap functionality in response to upcoming Google Maps API changes.

All Portal Users

Portal Integration of Job & Training Events

Expanded portal support for publishing and managing Job & Training Events.

  • Portal Integration: Added support for Service Provider staff to manage and publish Job & Training Events through the portal.
  • Navigation Updates:
    • Added a new Job & Training Events item under the Jobs section of the portal navigation.
    • Renamed Jobs to My Jobs and updated submenu labels to Job Posts, Saved Jobs, and Jobs Feed.
  • Service Provider Visibility: Portal Staff with Service Provider Group permissions can now restrict Job & Training Events to staff and clients of a specific service provider.
  • Client Dashboards: Added support for published events to appear on client dashboards.

Resume Builder Enhancements

  • Personal Details: Personal details can now be pre-filled from the jobseeker’s profile, where available.
  • Optional Links: Added optional Website and LinkedIn URL fields to the Personal Details section.
  • Language Flexibility: Made language proficiency fields optional for greater flexibility.
  • Language Dropdowns: Added clearer placeholder text to language level dropdowns.
  • Job Title Search: Improved the Experience section with type-ahead support for Job Title selection.
  • Employer Field: Updated the Employer field to support searching for an existing employer or adding a new one.
  • Employer Details: When an existing employer is selected, city and province fields now pre-fill automatically.
  • Resume Standards: Removed the Postal Code field from employer details to better align with standard resume formats.

Career Library Training Standards Update

Reduced potential confusion by directing users to more up-to-date and consistent training standards.

  • Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program Links: Updated training standards links in Explore Skilled Trades to point to more current OYAP resources.

Accessibility Improvements

  • Keyboard Navigation: Improved keyboard navigation across portal navigation, menus, and Jobs pages.
  • Screen Reader Support: Enhanced screen reader labels and announcements for clearer navigation and actions.
  • Page Structure: Improved heading structure and page titles for better page context.
  • Focus Management: Fixed focus management issues to better support keyboard users.
  • Interactive Elements: Improved accessibility of search, filters, tables, and other interactive elements across Jobs pages.
  • Link Labels: Added clearer labels for links and actions, including links that open in a new tab.
  • Decorative Content: Removed decorative elements from screen reader output while preserving visual styling.

Sector Map

  • Heatmap Compatibility: Updated the Sector Map to maintain support for heatmap functionality in response to upcoming Google Maps API changes.
